Germanium (Ge) is an off-white metal, shiny, hard, belonging to the carbon family, with obvious non-metallic properties, with a melting point of 937.4°C, a boiling point of 2830°C, a density of 5.35g/cm³, and a hardness of 6 to 6.5.
